NEGRONI WEEK 2015
The Grand Rapids Cocktail Guild and CAMPARI USA:
Grand Rapids is coming out to cocktail for charity!
With the purpose of getting the cocktail/bar industry to be more active in their communities, Negroni Week is a national event that has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local charities and community organizations across the country.
The only requirements to participate are to make a “negroni special” all week long, then just commit to donating a portion of the sales of your special to a local charity.
The Grand Rapids Cocktail Guild has banded together 33 local businesses to participate for the first time ever, and raise funds for several great charities that support our West Michigan community!
This year, the charities the Grand Rapids Cocktail Guild has chosen are The Grand Rapids Public Library, The Friends of Grand Rapids Parks, the Downs Syndrome Association of West Michigan, The GR Scholarship for Women in Leadership in the Culinary Arts, and the Well House. We’ll be combining the money raised from all of our participants and split it equally between these great Grand Rapids organizations.
Negroni Week runs June 1 – 7, so you've got plenty of time to explore everything from the Classic Negroni to some Negroni Ice Cream and Negroni Cupcakes, to a creative riff on the cocktail from your local mixological experts.
Don't forget to tag #grcocktailguild and #negroniweek on your social media! We'll have shout-outs and prizes for our favorite posts!
