Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker over ice and strain into a low ball cocktail glass
Nick's Becherovka Sour
.75oz lemon juice
.75oz cinnamon-infused simple syrup (1part sugar, 1part water, boiled with 2 cinnamon sticks and allowed to cool)
1 egg white
1 dash angostura
1 dash rhubarb bitters
Combine Becherovka, juice, simple syrup, and egg white in a cocktail shaker. Dry-shake (with no ice) for 30 seconds. Open shaker and add ice to fill. Wet-shake (with ice) for 30 seconds. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Finish with bitters dashed on top.
Nick's "Lady Sniper"
1oz Yellow Chartreuse
Combine spirits in a mixing glass. Add ice and stir until well-chilled. Strain into a cocktail glass.
Tory's St. Petersburg Cocktail
2oz Rye Whiskey
1/2oz Contratto Rosso Vermouth
3/4oz Beet Juice
3 dashes chocolate bitters
1 dash Regan's Orange bitters
Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass. Add ice and stir until well-chilled. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with a black cherry.
Tory's Tom Daisy
A riff on the classic Seelbach cocktail, named for the Seelbach Hotel in Louisville, F. Scott Fitzgerald's favorite. Here's hoping Tom and Daisy would serve it at their wedding, which Fitzgerald set at that very hotel.
2 black cherries
1oz Woodford Reserve bourbon
3/4oz St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram
3 dashes grapefruit bitters
3 dashes peychaud's bitters
3oz Champagne, to top
Muddle cherries in a mixing glass until well-crushed. Add spirits and bitters and stir. Fill mixing glass with ice and stir very well. Strain into a cocktail coupe and top with champagne.
Tory's Big Bee Punch
500ml Smith and Cross Rum
500ml fresh orange juice
250ml fresh lemon juice
250ml honey syrup
100ml angostura bitters
Combine all ingredients in a punch bowl and stir to combine. Add ice and decorate with herbs and orange slices.
¾ oz pecan infused Woodford Reserve lactose simple syrup
House made brandied Michigan cherry
Candied Woodford Reserve infused pecan
-Add bourbon and simple syrup to iced shaker.
-Shake well and strain into fresh iced cocktail glass.
-Garnish with bamboo skewer of candied pecan & brandied cherry.
The Ice Cap
2oz Cask & Smoke (New Holland Peated Whiskey)
1oz Ruby Port
1 Large Cold Brew Coffee Iced Cube
Stir Whiskey and Port in ice and strain into a chilled rocks glass with Coffee Ice Cube
2.5oz Knickerbocker Gin
.5oz Clockwork Orange Liqueur
.75oz Lillet Blanc
5 Dashes of Orange Bitters
Stir all ingredients with ice in a mixing glass, strain into a coupe glass. Zest a lemon peel over the glass, rim the glass with the peel and use as garnish.
Bunch of Arugula
2 oz Coppercraft Rye Whiskey
2 Grinds of Pepper
1/2 oz Balsamic Vinegar
1/2 oz ginger-infused honey syrup (1:1 honey to water, sliced ginger, boiled and cooled)
Muddle pepper, arugula and balsamic in a cocktail shaker. Add rye and shake. Place bunch of arugula in the bottom of a rocks glass. Add ice and pour cocktail over it.
Mark's Penicillin #2
2oz blended scotch
.5oz fresh lemon juice
.5oz honey-ginger simple syrup
3 dashes of smoked bitters
Garnish: candied ginger
Shake scotch, lemon juice and syrup over ice and pour into an ice filled rocks glass. Top with 3 dashes of smoked bitters. Garnish with candied ginger piece
Tory's "Marlene Dietrich"
1oz Slivovitz (dry plum brandy) 1oz Plymouth Gin .5oz Coffee-infused Carpano Antica Formula (1 cup carpano, 1 tbsp whole coffee beans, steep overnight) .5oz Crème de Cacao 1 dash Fee's barrel-aged bitters 1 dash Fee's Plum bitters Garnish: lemon peel & a single coffee bean
Mix all ingredients in a mixing glass. Fill glass with ice and stir very well. Strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with a coffee bean and piece of lemon peel
Tory's "American Beauty"
A special Southerner's special cocktail, circa 1880.
3/4oz cognac 3/4oz dry French vermouth 3/4oz fresh orange juice 1/8oz creme de menthe 1/8oz grenadine FLOAT: 1/2oz ruby port
Mix all ingredients (except port) in a shaker and add ice to fill. Shake well and strain into a chilled coupe. Over the back of a spoon, carefully float the port on top of the cocktail. Garnish with a mint leaf and/or the more traditional red rose petal. Act real fancy.
The Clover Club
2oz Plymouth gin 3/4oz raspberry syrup 3/4oz fresh lemon juice 1 fresh egg white
Mix all ingredients in an empty shaker. Dry-shake (meaning: no ice) for at least 30 seconds. Add ice to fill the shaker. Wet-shake (meaning: with-ice) for at least 30 seconds. Strain into a chilled coupe. Notice how much better your afternoon is, now.
